Regular Expressions for Beginners – Universal
Description How about jQuery? I think all front end developers have heard of the library using the dollar sign as its main function … Should we include jQuery in the new project? Is this still necessary? In what cases? What were the advantages of jQuery and are they still important? This course focuses on the latest JavaScript and browser mechanisms, which can replace jQuery: classList, querySelector, Description What is this course? This course is universal, which means that the regular expression stuff you learn here will be applicable to most, if not all, regular expression engines. Of course there will be some variations when we are implementing regex in different engines, say PHP over Javascript, but the basic fundamentals and how you do regex remain the same everywhere. Regular expressions are also called Regex, Regexp or Regexes, so we will probably be using this vocabulary as it is easier to pronounce and is what we commonly use in the programming community. We will learn how to implement regular expressions in Javascript and PHP, but these lectures are held to demonstrate how Regexes are used in programming languages. Who is this course for? After learning the most basic things, we will start with more complex operations and real world solutions. I always try to keep the lectures short so that the material is easy to digest.
