Description

This course will teach you the main things you need to know when starting to learn Martial Arts. I’ve provided an abundance of fun and informative videos that go into detail about every topic you need to know. Virtually every lecture is accompanied by an instructional video. I will provide supplemental materials such as a Power Point presentation with most of the videos for easy review when you need it.

Completion of the course does not mean you have mastered it, I would strongly suggest going through the course several times and practicing all the techniques hundreds of times. As Bruce Lee said, “I do not fear the man who has practiced 10,000 kicks once, but I fear the man who has practiced a kick 10,000 times.”

The structure of the course is quite simple. I’ll start by explaining the points of good posture. I will then show you some basic footwork that you should be practicing. Once you have a stance and footwork down, let’s then move on to basic punches. Once you have that down then I will introduce you to basic kicks. Lastly, I’m going to show you two, in my opinion, most useful self-defense techniques that you’ll be able to use on a street today! I’ll show you the main different ways to do each technique so your practice doesn’t get boring. I’ll also show you common mistakes people make and how to avoid them. So grab a pair of comfy pants and let’s get started!
