Brazilian Jiu-JitsuBrazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ) is a martial art that focuses on grappling and especially ground fighting with the aim of gaining dominance to force an attacker into submission.
It promotes the principle that a smaller, weaker person using leverage and proper technique can successfully defend against a larger, stronger aggressor.
Jiu-Jitsu can be trained for self-defense, sport grappling tournaments (with or without uniform) and mixed martial arts (MMA) competition.
Gustavo Dantas reveals the moves he mastered to become Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu champion.
He received his black belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu from André Pederneiras.
He won 1st place in the 98th Rio de Janeiro State Championship, 97th National Champion, 3rd place 96th World, 95th and 97th Rio de Janeiro State Champion.
Dantas competed by invitation only in the 2001 and 2003 Abu Dhabi Combat Championships.
His No Holds Barred record is 1-0.
