Description
Yawara is a thousand-year-old weapon, originally used as an instrument in Buddhist ceremonies and whose martial use was developed through Tanto-Jutsu, throwing it without unsheathing it in order to avoid cuts and bleeding. Over time, this small cylinder has become an extremely efficient weapon in both civilian self-defense and law enforcement.
In this video, Master Enrique Perez-Carrillo, seventh degree Black Belt and son of the founder of Yawara-Jitsu, shows us the techniques of the black belt program (atemi, application of pressure, dislocations, chokes, sweeps and escort prisoners), as well as a superior kata that reveals the multiple possibilities in handling this weapon.
