Dave Hopkins and George Kosty – San Soo Of Jimmy H. Woo
Description
Dave Hopkins and George Bones-San Soo from Jimmy H. Woo [2 DVD Rips]
Thanks to Dave Hopkins and George Bones, these guys are dynamite, and the technique they learned from Grandmaster Jimmy Hu Wu is outstanding to say the least. Once you see them in action, you’ll want to know more, we’re sure. There are no rules in the combat system, only how to win on the street and for real. You will understand why this style of kung fu, which dates back to Chinese origins, is one of the most punishing of all kung fu styles. No beautiful shapes, no cool techniques, just down, dirty and for real.
Further:Quote:Jimmy Wu was one of the most experienced Chinese kung fu teachers in America. He had two students, Dave Hopkins and George Bones, who took San Su Kung Fu to a whole new level of self-defense. In this double DVD set, Kostya and Hopkins will personally show you some of the deadliest and most amazing techniques this kung fu style has ever offered, and you’ll understand why they’re in demand around the world for training. There things are good, good, good-that’s all we can say, and when you see their performance, you will understand why they are among the leaders in American martial arts.
The latter is for copying and pasting:
Quote: Featuring Dave Hopkins George Bones, this second tape in the series is also a great tape and is a continuation of the first tape, where you will learn even more street-wise self-defense techniques that are out of this world. Very practical, no waste of energy, just right up to the point of survival of the fittest.
Once you see these guys in action, you’ll be waiting for an attack just to see what happens to your opponent, and it won’t be very pleasant, let us assure you.
“Fighting Spirit Magazine is a great presentation of the deadly art of Master Jimmy Wu.”
I give credit to the instructors on the DVD. While some of the ground moves I personally find strange-the attacks they describe are effective. There are SO many ways to attack the groin (and a few other dirty moves) that it won’t pop up in ur MMA training… LOL!
However, they show opening attacks from angles, attack speed and follow-up actions, they show combination strikes, they show good positioning, and so on. How to make hard-hitting takedowns, joint locks, chokes, and where to aim ur strikes to really hurt a person are shown in great detail with thorough explanations of the mechanics. Some of the things where they climb like monkeys, I find a bit theatrical; however, I can’t blame the basic movements they demonstrate. Hell, even in Muay Thai, a fighter will push off the opponent’s leg and launch a jump kick with his knee in the face. That’s what these guys show, so I don’t think too much about it. Just seeing it still means shit to your skill. You need to train and do it for some time. Real dojo action and real sparring are required.
