How can the mind affect hair follicles?
As you may know, there is a drug that helps to grow hair. It is called Propecia.
When a drug is tested there is a group that receives the real drug and a group that gets the placebo drug (a sugar pill with no active ingredients).
The placebo study for a hair growth drug was interesting to me, because it shows that the brain is capable of regrowing hair on nothing more than belief. The results were pretty stunning. Several studies show varied results of effectiveness. This one got my attention-
From Merck research, PROPECIA (finasteride) Tablets, 1 mg Investigator assessment was based on a 7-point scale evaluating increases or decreases in scalp hair at each patient visit. This assessment showed significantly greater increases in hair growth in men treated with PROPECIA compared with placebo as early as 3 months
So what is NLP?
NLP stands for Neuro-Linguistic Programming. Neuro refers to your neurology;
Linguistic refers to language; programming refers to how that neural language functions.
In other words, learning NLP is like learning the language of your own mind!
NLP is the study of excellent communication–both with yourself, and with others.
It was developed by modeling excellent communicators and therapists who got results with their clients.
NLP is a set of tools and techniques, but it is so much more than that.
It is an attitude and a methodology of knowing how to achieve your goals and get results
