Steve Maxwell – Bodyweight Basics (Complete Set)
Description
Body Weight Basics
Fitness Cinema Believe It! This is what Steve does: turns every corner of the world into a workout.
There is a lot of charm in what Steve does in this video: in seemingly ordinary circumstances, with ordinary people from a small town, but always keeping it real.
This is why the Steve Body Weight Basics series is so … extraordinary.
You witness Steve hanging out with several friends in any gym, in any city, USA, doing what children naturally do – playing on furniture and coming up with games and tasks
There is only Steve, his wooden stick and three eager students. In addition, Steve teaches us the virtues of mastering the physical body.
It all looks so simple! And yet we know that this is the most valuable, organic way to learn — through direct experience.
If you can’t agree to train directly with Steve, this video series is the next best thing to benefit from his friendly, hands-on knowledge and ten years of training experience.
A Bible for Personal Trainers and a Companion for Smart People looking to practice at home – Steve Maxwell shares his wisdom and experience with everyone. Much more than a tutorial on how to build strength with bodyweight exercise – Steve’s simple, resourceful solutions to bodyweight training challenges will inspire people at all levels.
Each of the four affordable volumes costs $ 19.99 and $ 70.00 for all four.
Note: The exercises become more difficult as you progress through each volume; so while the entire series is better value, if you are weak enough or otherwise deconditioned, you can still get the foundational moves in Volumes 1 and 2 and complete your collection later.
Here’s the best thing: we don’t have to “sell” this footage to you.
If you are reading this page, then you already know that Coach Maxwell is the guy you want to gain the basics of bodyweight from, and we have nothing more to say – but read the reviewers’ comments below – true is better than fiction!

What can we say about such a rare and amazing video like Episode 4? In which Steve embodies learning with sublime simplicity. An indispensable resource for kettlebell instructors and novice candidates – or anyone looking to perfect the basics – this video illustrates Steve’s ingenuous engaging client and the best way to train kettlebells from the very first session. The guest starring is Bondi Beach’s own wonderful talent, Pelin Gulozen. Episode 4 starts at 40:00
Classic!! This is a wealth of information presented so well; easy to follow; the purpose is explained; Anatomy covered; creative possibilities are explored. Steve’s voice is even, calm and confident. Models have excellent posture and are not distracted from information. Segment titles are nice / useful / easy to bookmark. Specific sections that the trainer will need. Good thing! – La
I really liked these videos. The transition from beginner to advanced was excellent and easy to understand. Not even a beginner should purchase it. I especially love how Steve included this segment about working around wrist or elbow problems. This short segment dedicated to the inclusion of lat will open new doors for many people. I enjoyed using the items that everyone around me has. (chairs, etc.) Steve demonstrates that you really don’t need to buy expensive equipment to bring principles to life. I was waiting for a good body weight video to come out. I really can’t think of any criticism. The instructions were clear and concise, the coloring looked good and the sound quality was excellent. This is the classic Steve Maxwell. – B
The basics. I will do it. Explaining why it is bad for you and good for you. This is the material that all serious trainers around the world should master. Healthy. Long term. I love it! – G
I started looking and was immediately taken prisoner – I am still there. The settings could be more bizarre, etc. But this is how I feel: I have a coach right here in my little gym teaching me – not the whole world – just me how to do push-ups. He speaks to me, not to a group of people. Why? He relaxes himself without carefully choosing every word. — FROM
well, you know, amazing! I love the squat segments and just the all-round mention of the purposefulness of the exercise. an emphasis on doing them slowly and concentrating on technique. FOR EXAMPLE 🙂 – Q
I watched the first part of the two that you sent yesterday. By focusing on the content, loving it, the coach trains real quality things. – G
I also really liked this set. I especially liked the advice on knowing about temporary static contractions and the importance of making the range of movement of the burp prioritize movement over speed. What is true of the first series is also true of this one. I also appreciate all the advice and explanations. Many videos don’t go into that much detail. Good stuff. – W
Wow! The advanced moves and their progressions are pretty impressive. (And I love that Steve jumped and did some of the hardest) – ah
