Meet Cindy Zarbano…
Cindy Zarbano is an intensive care nurse with more than 20 years of experience as a nurse who currently practices in the twin cities area of Minnesota. She is a nationally recognized seminar speaker who has opened several national symposia and has spoken on several topics for PESI, as well as a number of other companies in the United States and Canada. In addition to her speaking engagements, Cindy is a published author with many books, including the Pocket guide to clinical assessment of nursing skills and the Pocket guide to Med-Surg. Its products also include textbooks, webcasts, and webinars.
Along with her MS and BSN in nursing, she has 3 more bachelor’s degrees and several nursing certificates. She served as a U.S. Navy officer for 10 years, leaving the service as an LCDR (Lieutenant commander) in 2001. Prior to nursing, she worked as a counselor with the mentally ill and dangerous at a facility in southern Minnesota. She returned to the facility as a lead psychiatric nurse for two years after leaving the army. Cindy also provides legal advice to nurses and continues to serve as an expert witness in medical-related cases. Cindy’s teaching style is dynamic and energetic, yet informal and easy to understand. You will leave her program with a renewed commitment to achieving excellence in critical care nursing.
